Following the discussions held at a recent meeting, the MP of Norwich has decided to take corrective measures with regards to cyclists on pavements.
These cyclists have become a cause of much concern to the residents of Norwich and therefore, the MP intends to put into plan a properly designed network of cycle routes in the city.
The move has come hot on heels of various first hand accounts that the MP received during the meeting. One of the plaintiffs at the meeting said that among other measures, bike insurance was a must and should be made compulsory for bikers.
In another incident a man was stepping out of his home when he felt a sharp excruciating pain in his leg, only to realise later that a biker had crashed into him. It is said that the victim of the crash supposedly lost a number of days at work and had to be treated for his wounds.
The cyclist who caused the accident was completely unaffected by the incident and rode away from the scene.
The MP said that he was more in favour of establishing cycling routes in the city than initiating licences and other forms of identification for cyclists.
Many residents complained that the authorities were also helpless in the face of those who rode on pavements and many residents are fed up of getting mowed down by bicycle riders.
