A monster bike is to be constructed against the clock before bikers’ eyes, a bike insurance firm has announced.
A statement from the insurance company said a lucky visitor will then be given the bike at its 2009 show.
The motorbike, worth about £30,000, will be build by a strong team of four who have been given a creative licence to construct it based on their discretion, but in the end to paint it in the company’s distinctive colour.
The bike, based around a customised Santee Rigid frame and 1450cc Revtech 88 Cl engine, will take more than 200 man hours to complete, as the team race against the clock.
In a separate development, bikers making modifications to the motorcycles to make them run faster were recently warned by the police that they risked falling foul of the law and even have their bike insurance voided.
The warning became necessary as more teenagers were seen speeding at up 50mph on bikes allowed to travel at 30mph.
