Playground bullies now have a whole new meaning, after a man drove a mini-moto across a school field where 20 to 30 primary school children were playing in Aberdeen. The driver of the vehicle was Paul Whittaker, who was later found by the police to have no bike insurance and was banned from driving.
Whittaker admitted that he had previously drove the mini-moto at speed and acknowledged that he paid no attention to the safety of the children when he was weaving in and out of them. He also admitted that he was disqualified for driving his bike.
Whittaker’s lawyer stated: “He accepts it must have been an alarming situation for the children and he apologises profoundly for any distress he may have caused them.”
Whittaker is to serve six months behind bars and has been taken off the road for four years.
