Bike insurance customers from North Curry in Somerset may be pleased to hear that their local council may take action on the increasing number of potholes.
Residents of the village campaigned against the increasing number of deadly potholes by presenting the Somerset County Council with a 12-page report consisting of images of the potholes as a bid to urge the council to “sit up and take notice.”
According to Duncan McClure, fisher of Warranty Direct, the company behind potholes.co.uk, the move may “act as an inspiration” for other Brits in the UK to follow the suit.
He said: "This kind of public pressure is the only way things will change.
North Curry villagers have adopted a novel approach but one we applaud. We hope it acts an inspiration for other residents in towns, cities and villagers to do the same.”
He added: “They have every right to demand answers and actions from the Council. Every day we advise motorists across the country how to seek compensation after their cars have been damaged by potholes and ruts.
I think we’re all fed up of seeing pathetically-repaired holes as part of the patch and mend policy.”
