UK based Saga services limited will now be providing bike insurance for those aged above fifty.
The company that specialises in holidays and insurance for the above fifty year old bracket also runs a successful subscription magazine and is now extending into bike insurance services.
The bike insurance will provide cover against contingencies such as loss, damage and theft.
In addition, the policy holders will also get an EU cover for a minimum period of sixty days.
Besides this, the customers have the choice of deciding on what they would like to insure on their bike cover including personal accident cover, legal expenses and even helmet and leather cover.
According to the recent reports released by Saga, out of five motorists in the country, one is aged above fifty accounting for close to 20 percent of the sample space.
Other than this the data also revealed that four out of every five bikers said that riding a bike was thrilling.
Close to a quarter of the respondents chose a bike over a car as a cost effective alternative. While seventeen percent said that they ride their bikes to work everyday.
With so many respondents replying positively about bikes, and taking to the roads in such big numbers is a clear indication of these people wanting to live life to the fullest said the Saga executive chairman Andrew Goodsell.
