What is a no claims bonus?

A no claims bonus will keep your bike insurance price down, the more years you have on your no claims bonus, the lower risk your insurer will consider you to be. Insurance prices are mainly based on risk, having a no claims bonus will mean your risk is greatly lowered, alongside the price of your premium.
Some insurers will offer a discount of up to 70% for a no claims bonus, this means you are rewarded by your insurer for being a safe rider.
You can boost your no claims bonus by not making claims on your insurance policy, although you will also not be penalised for claims which are not directly your fault.
