Kwit-fit, one of the leading car parts repair and replacement service providers, is set to introduce e-motor car insurance policies.
Kwik-Fit Insurance managing director Martin Oliver said, "The internet has had a significant impact on our business and is now the main source of motor insurance sales. Customers buying online not only demand low prices and high levels of service, but also expect electronic delivery of documentation immediately.
"Although the cost reductions alone justify implementing SDX, it also creates opportunities to generate additional revenue through improving acquisition and retention rates, and cross-selling activities through even greater control of online transactions."
The company has signed a three-year deal with SSP to implement the SDX secure messaging technology.
Kwik-Fit said expected business benefits included better customer service, and postage and administration savings, and there would be wider environmental benefits too.
Kwit-fit etched themselves into the public psyche back in 1983 thanks to an advertising TV campaign which featured the famous jingle:

In 1995 the company started to offer insurance products and today offers car, bike, home, pet and travel insurance.
