The Post Office is the most popular car insurance provider, closely followed by Saga, Prudential, Tesco and Churchill. This is the result of a survey carried out by moneysupermarket.com, which required people to rate insurers on seven criteria.
"Customer satisfaction is key when it comes to choosing your motor insurer,” comments Richard Mason, Director of Insurance at moneysupermarket.com. “While keeping insurance premiums low is important to many motorists, others may value claims handling, speed of resolution and customer service, over cost. Our research shows who is the top of the polls for these different criteria."
In terms of customer service, Diamond tops this list, while Swiftcover offers best value for money. However, when customers think about getting things fixed fast, the Post Office is the most efficient for claims resolution.
