An extensive study in car insurance claims has revealed a number of locations across the UK that can be qualified as hotspots for car theft. The top hotspots for car theft include Chislehurst, Bromley, Kent, Wingate, Cleveland and Middleborough.
A price comparison website released a list of various postcodes across the UK that qualifies as hotspots for vehicle theft or theft from within their vehicles. The list ranked the highest number of claims made from the various areas based either on vehicle theft or theft of content from within their vehicles such as stereo systems or GPS navigation systems.
The study was conducted by a price comparison website and revealed a number of bigger cities in the list as well. Manchester and Bradford were within the top 20 car insurance claimants on account of car theft on the list.
Romford and Ilford have appeared more than thrice on the list. Apparently there have been locations within Romford and Ilford that are less than six miles apart.
The research has successfully underscored the clear and present danger that many centers across the UK face in terms of car theft. This has also served to highlight that no matter where you live, you face the risk of car theft that should be taken seriously.
