Comparison site unveils cheapest car insurance on the market - 22/05/2008 |

Kwik Fit and Swiftcover offer the cheapest car insurance on the market, with both firms providing cover at an average of £276.74, according to new research by comparison site, Moneysupermarket.com.
Quinn-Direct were found to be the third most competitive car insurers with average premiums costing £282.80. Cover taken out with the RAC, who were unveiled as providing the fourth cheapest insurance, will cost motorists an average of £289.59.
Peter Gerrard, a Moneysupermarket.com insurance expert, pointed out that although cost is an important factor when deciding which insurer to opt for, customers should also be aware of other issues that could help shape the best policy for their driving needs"It is always worth looking at multiple-person cover, excess levels and breakdown cover within insurance deals,” said Mr Gerrard.“There is nothing stopping drivers from changing their insurer each year and always taking advantage of the most competitive premium. There is no substitute for spending a few minutes comparing quotes online and finding the best deal for your needs.”
