Car Insurance - Unlucky birth dates could affect your car insurance - 24/09/2008

New research suggests that a person’s likelihood of making a claim could be a result of something they had been determined the day they were born.

Yes, surprisingly a person’s date of birth could determine the probability of them making a car insurance claim.

This report was brought out by a car insurance provider, who said that people who were born in a ‘danger’ month like December were likely to be the ones who claimed on their car insurance, as they were most likely to be unsafe drivers.

The report even went as far as suggesting specific birth dates of those who car insurance companies should watch out for. These dates have been listed as September 16th, February 29th and December 24th and they been termed as the ‘danger birthdays’. This report was based on the findings of a total of two million of the insurance company’s car insurance claims.

The report also showed that the luckiest birth date was the 31st May and that those born on the first of the month were less likely to have a driving conviction.

The firm have said that these new findings have not acted as a reason for them to refuse car insurance cover.
