The Hungarian car insurance system is extremely different from the British system as Hungarian insurers announce their 2009 compulsory car insurance prices. Driver is Hungary will have till December the 1st to decide if they wish to change their car insurance provider.
It has been predicted that one in four will look to change their car insurance provider and many will look to take advantage of the online discounts which many of the Hungarian car insurance providers will be providing in the next month.
Two new insurers have entered the fray to make the insurance market far more competitive than last year. The bankruptcy of MÁV Biztosító - which offered cut-rate premium prices - insurers are making sure to have adequate reserves available, said Generali-Providencia Managing Director László Ilics. He predicts fees will be more "professionally founded" and differences between them will be smaller.
It remains to be seen which car insurance company will come out on top by the 1st of December but one thing is for sure many Hungarians will be looking to take the opportunity to save money on their car insurance price.
