A device has been launched by a leading womens car insurance provider which will help women feel safer when attempting to dig out their car keys from the bottom of their hand-bags, it has been revealed.
Sheilas’ Wheels have looked into ways to improve the confidence of their clientele when driving at night and have come up with a proposal to ensure women have easy acess to their vehicles.
Their latest research has revealed that 33 per cent of women get anxious when getting into their car at night due to the length of time it takes them to locate their car keys. They have concluded that this anxiety could have an indirect effect on car accidents and car insurance claims. But the news function allows the driver to open the door though a small device that they can wear on their finger.
The ring would allow drivers to open the door of their vehicle by pressing a button on one of the stones on the ring so they can search for their keys in the safety of their own car.
Jacky Brown from Sheilas' Wheels, said: "We are always looking to address women's motoring safety concerns and with the Sheilas' Wheels KeyRing we do just that.
"Not only will women be able to open their cars with minimal fuss, but they will be able to quickly get in to the safety of their vehicle before having to root around in their handbag for their car keys," she added.
