Health Insurance - CNA's new insurance policy - 09/06/2008

 
 
  The insurance firm, CNA Insurance has announced that it is to launching a new range of health insurance products, specifically aimed towards the medical and science related industries.

The international insurance firm, is releasing new product liability, clinical trials liability and professional indemnity cover. The insurance products are obviously not aimed at the general public, and instead will cover biotechnology firms, medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.

The CNA underwriting director for the healthcare sector, Rhonda Buege, was reported as commenting: “We understand the importance of continuing to innovate our product range to meet the ever changing needs of this dynamic sector.”

She also said: “Research, has given us detailed insight into the requirements of the European healthcare sector. This, combined with 40 years of experience of servicing the healthcare sector in the US has enabled us to develop a range of new solutions for a wide array of healthcare providers and organisations.”
