Free wellness tools in the UK are fast gaining the status of a commodity. They are seen to be more in supply than in demand as they are practically free, it has been revealed.
According to the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), take up rates for independent EAPs stand anywhere between 5 percent and 15 percent. For the EAPs that have been integrated into group health insurance products, the take up rates stand at lower than 5 percent.
A case in point would be employee assistance packages. EAPs are today being given away by health insurance providers at the rate of commodities. Free EAPs are now being given out on group income protection schemes.
More than 50 percent of the health insurance providers in the market today provide free EAPs. Free EAPs were first available on group cash plans.
Even wellness tools online and information packages are not making too much of a dent. These are offered in each and every health insurance product conceivable and yet, it is not creating much of an impact on the take up rush.
In addition, health policy holders who have an abundant supply of information do not seem to be taking it up very fondly.
