It has been announced that an up and coming trend in health insurance will put smiles on the faces of parents everywhere.
Over 24 states have signed themselves up to the law of which requires employers health-care plans to cover adults with dependents who still live with them for a longer time.
Generally it has been the case that a child would no longer have health insurance thanks to their parents coverage once they hit their 19th birthday, although full-time college students can remain covered until they graduate.
A panicked search for a new, generally overpriced health insurance plan is often the result when children reach such points, in particular when it is with a company such as the federally mandated COBRA insurance.
Many states over the last three years have put up the cut off point for adult dependent offspring to around 25 years old. The highest witnessed in the nation is New Jersey in which a child can stay covered until they are 30 years of age.
