A former school business manager has been arrested for allegedly falsifying document to show that he would be receiving 100 per cent health coverage during his retirement.
According to a report the former school boss was arrested yesterday on two felony charges for forging a health insurance form.
He was said to have submitted a forged form earlier this year that indicated the school district awarded him full health insurance coverage.
Police said, however, it was eventually discovered that he was only entitled to partial coverage.
The man, 52, had retired three years ago after serving 32 years with the district.
He was charged with a second degree forgery and first degree offering a false instrument for filing after an investigation by State Police, authorities were quoted saying.
Report added that the decision to submit forged document followed a move by the district to recover debt of $2,537 he owed on his insurance premium.
A district lawyer had contact him to demand payment of the debt, but he responded by submitting the document, claiming the district would pay 100 per cent of his health insurance cost after his retirement.
