Aviva and child health cover have initiated a private medical insurance scheme with a special emphasis on children. The scheme, which is known as child health solutions will provide the users of the scheme with health and medical benefits. The areas in which the policy will provide cover will range from dental health to speech therapy.
At the monthly cost of £13.50 a month, parents will be able to benefit from the help of a GP and a number of helplines for stress control. In addition to this, people will be offered free online information on child health along with a list of specialist pediatric hospitals.
A parent can also stay in with a child in the hospital in accordance to the scheme. The scheme provides the accommodation of one parent in the hospital along with the child.
A spokesperson for Aviva UK health insurance claimed that this product is unique owing to the fact that it is cut out in keeping children and their health conditions in mind.
The spokesperson claimed that Aviva has always sought ways of working in union with the NHS’s provisions. While the NHS is good at providing healthcare for children, there are a few special conditions where the private sector players can make a difference.
