As another London fashion week comes to an end, fashion-lovers are reminded to ensure their items are covered under their home insurance policy. A good home insurance cover could keep the wardrobes of shoppers protected from theft or damage, according to a study by Hiscox home insurance.
Hiscox home insurance warned followers of fashion this week that without home insurance, not only would ones credibility be lowered but also the value of their clothes.
The provider quoted from instances in its research that many homeowners in the UK do not know if their wardrobe contents are covered under their home insurance policies. Infact, more than two thirds do not know what their style sense is worth in terms of money.
The study further points out that the average annual budget for a citizen of the UK amounts to £1000. This figure rises to £3600 in case one is a dedicated follower of fashion. Despite the recession this year, 4 per cent of those surveyed claim that they have spent more than they did last year on clothes. 56 percent claim that they have not cut back in any way on their budget spent on clothes despite recession.
