A leading financial services provider has advised its consumers and also homeowners across the UK to put their garden tools away after use. This is a necessity as it is essential to protect your garden tools from winter rust.
The executive chairman for the financial provider made these comments on behalf of his company. He said this based on the findings of the research conducted by his company. The findings of the research revealed that more than 1/4th of the population in the UK did not put away their tools after use in the wetter months of the year.
He indicated that people might end up paying a lot of money for the costlier of metal implements and tools from their own pockets if they did not insure their contents under their home insurance.
He further went on to explain that in cases where households use barbeques, many people do not care to put them away. In the winter, rust may get the better of their barbeques that may be left out in the open. In such cases consumers will find it very hard to replace expensive items like this unless they have home insurance to cover their contents.
