Home insurance discount from building society - 16/05/2008
A major building society is offering a discount when householders buy a combined
home insurance
policy.
Nationwide has announced that customers who purchase a combined buildings and
contents insurance
will be given a 20 per cent discount. In addition, if bought online then a further 10 per cent is taken from the policy price.
Customers are being encouraged to stay with the building society long-term as it has pledged to offer the 20 per cent discount if they renew the combined policy in a year's time.
Included in the small print for Buildings cover is protection for garden equipment of up to £1,000 and temporary accommodation costs that may be needed should unforeseen events occur.
Parents of students can also have peace of mind because their children's possessions are protected while they are at university. Other areas covered by the policy include the loss of music that has been legally downloaded.
Consumers have until July 31st to benefit from the offer.
