Direct Line for Business has launched a new insurance policy for people running businesses from home.

The home business policy includes product and public liability cover as well as several add-on options, such as cover for theft or accidental damage to items such as laptops or mobile phones. Policy holders can also access a 24 hour advice line offering emergency assistance and legal advice.

“Many people are unaware of their liability to their clients for the products and services they provide or the impact if the business is interrupted due to an incident in the home,” explains Kate Syred spokesperson for Direct Line for Business. “Direct Line’s home business insurance is available to people direct.  The product itself is flexible and represents good value for money whilst meeting the individuals’ needs.”
