Insurance provider Salaam Halal is offering its customers a new home insurance deal in compliant with the Islamic law of Shariah.
According to the firm, it is the first home insurance policy that works hand in hand with the Shariah law.
Chief executive of Salaam Halal, Bradley Brandon Cross said: "We are delighted to be able to build on our current insurance offering and give people a real choice when it comes to protecting their two key possessions - their home and their car."
He added: "As motor insurance is a legal requirement, and mortgage companies demand buildings insurance as a loan condition, British Muslims have been forced to take out products which are in conflict with their faith - until now.
We are giving people the best of both worlds: a Shariah compliant choice at home and on the road plus a good deal on their insurance."
Although British Muslims can benefit from the launch of the home insurance deal, the policy is available to all non-Muslim homeowners.
Meanwhile, homeowners are being warned not to tackle wasp nests after research by women's car insurance provider Sheilas Wheels found that 33 per cent of British homeowners would fight the nests themselves rather than hiring a professional to do the job.
Spokesperson, Jacky Brown from the firm said: "It's that time of year again when wasps' and hornets' nests become a nuisance to homeowners across the UK.
"With some nests housing colonies of hundreds of stinging insects, DIY nest removal should never be attempted by the untrained."
