AXA releases life insurance sales guide for apprehensive advisors - 09/05/2008

Insurance firm, AXA, has released a guide aimed at assisting advisors in selling insurance products throughout the turbulence of the credit crisis.
The 15-page document will help guide mortgage and insurance advisors through difficult times, as business becomes scarce and products such as life insurance become increasingly hard to sell.
Many advisors have called for the guide after discovering that product sales have dropped in their specialist areas since the onset on the credit crunch and AXA hopes that the guide will increase sales opportunities.
Many problems that hinder the sales process of life insurance stem from probing personal questions and other obstacles that delay the sale.
“There are 66 health questions which some people can find intrusive,” said Ian Mallon of AXA.
“Some people have an issue with needles so they can be offered an alternative such as a swab, or a hair can be taken from the head and it gives an instant analysis of a person’s health, makes the process the process faster and is less intrusive.”
