A life insurance company in Mumbai, India has announced the release of a new way for its customers to pay for their premiums.

New technology means that customers can now pay using their mobile phones making it more convenient for them to top up there premiums as and when they need to.

Instructions are sent securely from a mobile phone which is linked to the consumers preferred bank account or credit card. The system hopes to streamline payments so that customers remain covered at all times and do not incur penalties if there is a gap in their cover.
