Larger companies have for some time offered personal insurance policies to their employees as part of their benefits package. Often these policies came as part of the corporate pension schemes and have been very popular. But now all companies provide this service and many employees across the country do not have adequate protection plans in place.
Now the Association of British Insurers (AIB) has written a guide for smaller business to inform them of the different types of insurance policies available. The aim of the guide is to advise business who may not have thought of personal insurance plans previously about what would be best suited to the business and the employee.
There are a number of different options that can be considered when offering employees insurance protection, such as life insurance, medical insurance and income protection insurance. All of which would be of benefit to the employee.
