Life Insurance - Protective Life reorganises life insurance distribution - 20/06/2008

Protective Life has announced it is reorganising the way it sells life insurance in an effort to alter the focus and collaboration involved in its sales department.

The company, which distributes life insurance through two companies, Protective Life Insurance and West Coast Life Insurance, has reorganised roles and responsibilities within the sales department. The company focuses on distribution through general agencies, independent agents, brokers and financial institutions.

The firm is putting two of its figures in charge of all insurance sales. Mark Rush and Jeff Marsh currently work for West Coast Life and Protective Life respectively. Under the reorganisation, however, both will manage different aspects of the company’s sales for both institutions.

The senior vice president and chief distribution officer of Protective Life, John Deremo, said: "Mark's strong ability to build relationships and drive a collaborative approach will be instrumental in his leadership across the Protective Life and West Coast Life brands.

"Jeff's leadership, along with his financial and product acumen brings strength and focus as we continue to grow our institutional life sales network and build our advanced sales capabilities."
