Life Insurance - Life insurance cheaper for vegetarians - 05/08/2008

Vegetarians all over the country are to experience the bonus of cheaper life insurance due to a new policy that has been introduced recently which offers them premiums at a discounted price.

The company Animal Friends Insurance profess that this is because there is medical evidence stating that vegetarians are less likely to suffer from the major illnesses found in those who eat meat. Resulting in a 6% discount on their life insurance.

The group is known as not being for profit in the life insurance industry, although unfortunately this does not mean the industry itself is taking note of the discount vegetarians may be owed. It would seem that if things continued this way vegetarians would be paying for their meat-eating counterparts by spending the same amount on fees.

Meat-eaters may also sign up to this policy , supported by the insurer Liverpool Victoria, but they would not benefit from any form of discount.
