Ledger who’s most recent portrayal of the Joker in the Dark Night was met with rave reviews, took out a policy with Minnesota based insurance company ReliaStar Life Insurance. According to the Associated Press the company are stalling pending an investigation into whether Ledger lied on his paper work or even committed suicide.

The law suit has been filed by Ledger's former attorney on behalf of Heath Ledgers daughter Matilda Rose.

"There's a young girl whose father died who is entitled to this money, and ReliaStar is doing everything it can to avoid paying," said attorney William Shernoff, who is representing both LaViolette and Matilda Rose, in a press release. "There's not a shred of evidence it was suicide."
