An insurance firm is providing a new service for those who want to purchase insurance without receiving professional advice, it has been revealed.
The firm, Bright Grey, is offering customers life insurance and critical illness cover online for a faster service for those who prefer not to take advice.
Further medical evidence is also not required when purchasing the insurance online.
A spokesperson for Bright Grey said: "We need to recognise that a certain segment of the population are using the internet to buy protection without professional advice. This group chooses the internet-only approach to buy and would not look to buy in any other way.”
He added that this is the first time life cover has been offered to those who chose “the internet-only approach.”
He said: “Until now there hasn't been a product that offers Life or Critical Illness Cover specifically tailored to this group of people, where they can complete the whole process online.”
The firm also believe that the move will enable more people to ensure they are covered.
He said: “The price and the fact that it is a simple product is an important combination for online consumers and one that will encourage more people to buy insurance."
