According to the Croatian National Tourist office, more people than ever are choosing Croatia as a holiday destination. Many tour operators are offering package holidays and cheap deals to the country, in 2007 there were 275,000 British tourists in Croatia.
Certain areas of the country are more popular than others, such as the islands and Dubrovnik, the fact that there are 1,000 islands means the choice is abundant. The versatily of operators is meaning more people are travelling to Croatia than ever before.
Travel insurance is paramount for people travelling to exotic countries, a huge number of people offer tours from Britain including Holiday Options, Thompson and Thomas Cook. 65 of the country’s many islands are populated and easily accessible from the mainland, and according to a Croatian tourist board nearly 11 million people visited the country between January and November 2007.
