Holidaymakers need correct travel insurance coverage - 09/05/2008

Travellers are being urged to check they have the right travel insurance ahead of this year's holiday season.
Direct Line is encouraging holidaymakers to get the correct level of insurance for the activities they plan do while abroad.
The insurer is reminding travellers to seek appropriate coverage following a report from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office which showed that up to 31 per cent of Britons do not have the correct level of cover.
Chris Price, head of Direct Line Travel Insurance, said: "It is very important that travellers take out appropriate insurance to cover them should an incident occur while they're on holiday.
"The best way to ensure you have the appropriate policy is to contact your insurer and discuss the cover you need for the activities and equipment you are likely to use."
Mr Price also recommended that those holidaymakers travelling in groups ask their insurers if it is possible to get a discounted premium.
