During the summer thousands of Brits take to the skies in search of sun, sand, sea amongst other things, depending on your marital status and age. It is also a well recognised fact, that of those thousands, it is believed according to travellers direct 1 in three of those people travel without taking out adequate travel insurance.
Experts believe that a number of holidaymakers see travel insurance as an unnecessary expense, some even believing wholeheartedly that they are saving themselves money by excluding travel insurance from their list of holiday plans. However it does not help considering that a number of travel insurers and agents are actually mis-selling their product.
So the average customer may be under the impression that they will be covered for certain circumstances, when in actual fact they are not. Take precautions by studying your policy so that your are fully aware of what you are and are not covered for.
