A travel insurance firm has signed an insurance partnership with Sainsbury's, meaning a new brand of travel insurance is to be offered on the market.

The firm, First Assist, is set to offer full coverage and will conduct medical screening either by internet or over the phone. They are to offer a variety of policies, including single trip, long stay and winter sports. There will also be a range of optional extras available to travellers who want to tailor their policy to their needs.

Steve Scott, Head of First Assist Travel Sales and Strategy, said: "We have worked closely with Sainsbury's Finance to develop a bespoke product offering that accurately matches its expectations. This partnership will capitalise on the quality service we provide to travellers around the world. We anticipate that this will be a very successful relationship and once more, we will have the opportunity to demonstrate our passion about our clients’ business and our passion about quality of service for our clients' customers."
