Travel insurance firms have revealed that single trip cover may be on the rise this month, as many travellers prepare to head off to Munich.
Many holiday-goers will be visiting Germany this month, for the upcoming Oktoberfest. Beginning on September 19th, the festival has a lot to offer travel fans.
The festival involves many fun things to, with the opening parade being a ‘must-see priority.’ Karoline Graf, a local tourist advisor commented on the activities.
“Starting as early as 10:00 local time, there will be a parade [and] you will see the beautiful horses and brewery coaches with the host and waitresses waving at the crowd,” Graf said.
Another parade takes place on the first Sunday of the festival and sees people from all over Europe wearing their traditional dress.
Therefore, insurance firms have advised those planning to go without insurance cover to reconsider, as anything can happen from a broken leg to illness.
Cover is extremely important; especially as the event will witness travellers consuming around six million litres of beer.
Recently, a survey found that the average UK holidaymaker typically spends one hour and 38 minutes per day at the bar on vacation, and with many travel claims filed due to an alcoholic accident, cover has never been more vital.
