Am I covered for driving?

Most policies will cover you for driving or travelling as a passenger in a car while travelling, this is only if you hold a valid UK driving licence. You will be covered for any emergency medical care or personal care needed as a result of driving. It is unusual for you to be covered for personal liability as a standard feature of your travel insurance and it is worth checking with your insurer the level of your cover. However you will need to take adequate car insurance cover whether taking your own vehicle abroad or using a rental car.
