What are the different types of travel insurance available and what do they cover?
There are two main types of travel insurance, regular travellers can consider Annual Multi-Trip (AMT) cover, which insures you for any number of trips made in a year, usually up to 31 days. This can be especially useful if you expect to be taking trips at short notice when you may not have time to purchase travel insurance. Single Trip policies are also available and will cover you for the single length of the holiday.
Travel insurance, depending on your policy, will cover you for lost or delayed baggage, flight delays, missed departures, flight cancellation and other, more serious occurrences such as becoming ill or injured.
Only Travel Insurance offers an options package to suit every need, including; winter sports, golf, back packer, hazardous activities, cruises and weddings. Frequent business travellers can protect office equipment such as laptops and blackberry’s leaving them free to concentrate on the job while travelling.
