Commercial van drivers heading to work on Monday morning have been warned on the perils of getting used to driving during British summertime.
As the clocks went forward on the weekend drivers who would like to avoid a claim on their van insurance policy should take heed of the hazardous nature of the roads in the mornings, as many motorists will be making their way to work in the dark.
The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) has gone on to explain that decreased visibility or unfortunate surprises could increase the likelihood of a claim.
Neil Greig, director of IAM policy and research, said: "For the first few weeks of the clock change, motorists will need to get used to driving in darker conditions and take extra care."
