A man has been arrested for irrational driving and theft of a Krispy Kreme delivery van.
The 20 year old took the vehicle without the consent from the owner. He was arrested for not complying with traffic rules, theft of the van and driving without a license or van insurance.
The vehicle that the man was driving was noticed by police officials in Slough at around 12:25am on Monday. They said that they noticed the vehicle moving erratically and asked the driver to pull over, only to arrest the man on the charges of careless driving and driving without a license. It was later learned that the vehicle was stolen.
The man has now been granted bail and will be attending the Maidenhead magistrate’s court this month.
Van theft has become a common occurrence in the UK. As a result, more Brits are understanding the importance of van insurance to ensure they are covered in the case of theft or an accident. Van owners are now becoming a lot more careful with their van insurance policies because of these ongoing thefts.
